tmb new brunswick bowlersNew Brunswick's Bowling Championship was won by a team representing St. Peter's Church in Saint John and with two Saint John TCA employees as members of the six man team.

On the left in the rear row is Station Agent Frank M. Cogger and on the right in the rear row is Passenger Agent M. Daniel McPhee, shown with the other team members and the championship trophy.

tmb quality analystsQuality Analysts from across the system were introduced to the new Quality Measurement Program at a general meeting in Montreal. The new program took effect on the first of June 1960 in all Reservations offices.

The Los Angeles Interline club brought the '50s back to life as the members twisted, strolled and jitterbugged the night away as the Air Canada sponsored ''Fabulous '50s'' party. Lori Flowers, Sales Representative, Los Angeles organized and coordinated the '50s bash. She was named October's Interliner of the Month by the LAIC.

Lori had help bringing the party all together from her colleagues: Lorne Timbers, Sales Manager; Len Zak, Cargo Sales and Service Manager; Sales Representatives Pat Carey, Charlie Flinn, Joe Grace, Don Thomas and Carol Klein-Kindall, Clerk/Agency Accounts Sharon Morrett and Corey Smith from Reservations.

For the first time, the company was represented in the Springmaid International Stewardess Tennis Championships held at John Gardiner's famous tennis ranch at Scottsdale, Arizona.

tmb tennis teamIn the fourth renewal of the tournament which attracted 15 airline teams from around the globe. Margaret Pascoe headed the company squad which included Jackie Desrosiers, Suzanne Laferriere. Joanne Lacroix and Jane Simmons.

Chess enthusiasts were invited to attend the System Chess Championships at the Power Plant Shop, Dorval Base, on Saturday, December 15th, 1979.

yul chess clubThe event caps the progress of the ACRA Chess since it was established in 1964 with just six members. Over the years. The game attained popularity and in 1979 had 35 members.In 1967, the club participated in the Man and His World Chess Event competing with players from various Montreal universities "and we won" said Walter Romanowski, Machinist in the Power Plant.

Members also completed in the Montreal Chess League's team championships each year.
