Terry Baker recalls this embarrassing incident – One of my computer programming tasks while working in Computer & Systems at Dorval was to produce a report of inventory movements. To test my program, view the output and avoid including 'YUL' in the search criteria for the report (normal output to the buyers and expeditors in the department), I had my test output directed to DVL, short for Dorval naturally! Horror upon horrors when I found out that the IATA code DVL was already assigned to Devils Lake Regional Airport. |
